Conventional heating (hot air, steam) relies on thermal conduction—heat must slowly penetrate from the surface to the center. This is slow and often results in “case hardening” (burnt surface, wet core).
Industrial Microwave technology is different. It uses Volumetric Heating. The electromagnetic waves penetrate the material and oscillate the water molecules directly, generating heat from the inside out instantly. This reduces processing time by up to 90%.

The Science Behind the Heat

Industrial microwave technology requires strict control. We use top-tier components to ensure stable output, long lifespan, and absolute operator safety.
Water-Cooled Magnetrons
The magnetron is the engine of the microwave. We use industrial-grade Samsung or Panasonic magnetrons (1kW-1.5kW modules) with water cooling jackets to prevent overheating and ensure 24/7 continuous operation.
Microwave Leakage Control
Safety is paramount. Our tunnels feature a multi-stage Choke Suppression System at the inlet and outlet. This physical design traps and cancels out escaping microwaves, keeping leakage far below international standards.
IR Temp Monitoring
Microwaves heat rapidly. To prevent burning, we install Non-Contact Infrared Sensors inside the tunnel. The PLC automatically adjusts the magnetron power output based on real-time product temperature.
The “Choke” Suppression System
How do we keep an open tunnel safe? We utilize a sophisticated engineering design known as a Quarter-Wave Choke.
Located at the entrance and exit of the tunnel, this series of metal fins creates an electromagnetic environment where escaping waves are out of phase and cancel themselves out. This passive safety system works 100% of the time, requiring no electricity to function.

Uniform Feeding
Material (e.g., BSF larvae or tea) is spread evenly onto the PTFE conveyor belt. Uniform thickness (3-5cm) is critical for consistent drying.

Does microwave drying destroy nutrients or flavor?
Quite the opposite. Traditional hot air drying requires long exposure to high heat (often hours), which degrades vitamins and color. Microwave drying is extremely fast (minutes) and can operate at lower temperatures, preserving more of the original color, aroma, and nutritional value of food products like spices, tea, and herbs.
Is the radiation dangerous to operators?
No. Our industrial systems are designed with strictly engineered “Choke Suppression” tunnels at the inlet and outlet. These metal structures physically prevent microwaves from escaping. We guarantee leakage levels below 1mW/cm², which is far stricter than the international safety standard of 5mW/cm². It is completely safe to work around the machine.
What is the difference between 915MHz and 2450MHz?
It depends on your product thickness.
2450 MHz (Standard): Shorter wavelength, suitable for thin layers or small particles (Tea, Spices, Mealworms).
915 MHz (Deep Penetration): Longer wavelength, penetrates deeper. Ideal for thick materials, large bulk processing, or high-capacity drying (Ceramics, Wood, Large BSF blocks).
How long do the magnetrons last?
Magnetrons are consumable parts, similar to light bulbs. High-quality water-cooled magnetrons (Samsung/Panasonic) typically last 5,000 to 8,000 hours under normal operation. They are designed for quick plug-and-play replacement, minimizing downtime.
Is it more energy-efficient than a hot air dryer?
Generally, Yes. Hot air dryers waste energy heating the air, the machine walls, and the environment. Microwave energy is transferred directly to the water molecules inside the product. This “direct coupling” means almost no energy is wasted heating the surrounding air, resulting in 30%-50% higher thermal efficiency for suitable materials.
