Mixing & Conditioning

Raw materials (corn flour, rice powder, soy meal) are mixed with water and oil. For high-grade products, a Pre-Conditioner steam-cooks the mix before extrusion.

Modular Screw Design

The screw is not a single piece. It is assembled from interchangeable segments (Shear Blocks, Kneading Blocks). By rearranging these blocks, you can alter the pressure and shear force to suit different recipes.

Food products require precise thermal curves. Our barrel is divided into 3-5 independent temperature zones, each controlled by a PID System with water cooling and electric heating for ±1°C accuracy.

Can I make Puff Snacks and Corn Flakes on the same line?

Partially. The core Twin-Screw Extruder is the same for both. However, the downstream equipment differs significantly. Corn Flakes require a Flaking Machine, High-Temp Roaster, and Sugar Coating Drum, while simple Puff Snacks only need a standard dryer and flavoring drum. We recommend dedicated lines for high efficiency, but a combined line is possible with modular add-ons.

Why use a Twin-Screw Extruder instead of Single-Screw?

Twin-Screw extruders offer superior mixing capability and process stability. They can handle a wider range of raw materials (high moisture, high fat, fine powders) without clogging. Plus, they have a Self-Cleaning function, saving hours of maintenance time during recipe changes.

What happens if the screw wears out? Do I replace the whole thing?

No. Our screws feature a Modular Segment Design. If a specific section (usually the high-wear zone near the die) wears out, you only need to replace those specific segments, not the entire screw shaft. This significantly reduces long-term maintenance costs.

What energy sources can I use for the dryer?

Our multi-layer dryers can be customized for Electricity, Natural Gas, LPG, Diesel, or Steam. Gas and Steam are generally more cost-effective for large-capacity industrial lines (>500kg/h), while Electricity is suitable for smaller pilot lines.

Do you provide food recipes?

Yes. We provide basic formulas for all standard applications (Corn Curls, TVP, FRK Rice, etc.) during installation. Our engineers will help you adjust the recipe on-site to match your local raw material characteristics and taste preferences.
