Reconstituted Rice Extrusion Technology

Fortified Nutrition Rice / FRK Production Line

Turn low-value Broken Rice into premium Golden Rice. A high-efficiency extrusion solution for combating malnutrition and maximizing rice mill profits.

Restoring Value:
From Broken Grains to Superfood

Rice milling generates huge amounts of broken rice, which is typically sold cheaply for animal feed. Our technology changes this equation using Extrusion Reconstitution.

By grinding broken rice into flour, mixing it with water and micronutrients, and extruding it under High Pressure & Low Shear, we recreate perfect rice kernels.

Unlike puff snacks, this process ensures the starch gelatinizes without expanding, resulting in a transparent, dense, and chewy grain that looks and cooks just like natural rice.

Waste to Wealth

Transform low-value broken rice ($0.3/kg) into premium nutritional rice ($1.5/kg). This upcycling process dramatically increases the profitability of any rice mill.

Combat Hidden Hunger

FRK (Fortified Rice Kernels) are enriched with Iron, Zinc, and Vitamins (A/B). The nutrients are locked inside the grain, so they don’t wash off during rinsing like surface sprays do.

Versatile Grain Shapes

Whether you need long-grain Basmati, short-grain Japonica, or golden-colored rice, simply change the die mold. We can match the appearance of your local natural rice perfectly.

The Reconstitution Process

From powder to grain. A precise engineering process that recreates the texture and appearance of natural rice while locking in nutrients.

01

Grinding & Pulverizing

Broken rice is fed into a high-speed pulverizer to be ground into fine rice flour (60-80 mesh), ensuring a smooth texture for the final grain.

02

Nutrient Mixing

Rice flour is mixed with water and micronutrients (Vitamin A, B, Zinc, Iron). The high-speed mixer ensures a uniform distribution of nutrients.

03

Reconstitution Extrusion

The extruder cooks the flour under high pressure but controlled temperature. It gelatinizes the starch without puffing, reforming it into grain shapes.

04

Vibration Cooling

Newly formed rice grains are hot and sticky. A vibrating spreader cools them down rapidly to prevent sticking and clumping before drying.

05

Low-Temp Drying

Rice needs slow, low-temperature drying. Our multi-layer dryer removes moisture gradually to ensure the grains do not crack or develop fissures.

06

Surface Polishing

The dried rice enters a polishing machine to remove surface burrs. This gives the artificial rice a crystal clear, shiny appearance, identical to natural polished rice.

Engineered for Grain Perfection

Unlike snack puffing, rice reconstitution requires precise control over gelatinization and moisture to prevent breaking and ensure transparency.

FRK Twin Screw Extruder

Designed with a special screw configuration and a water-cooled barrel. It ensures the rice flour is fully gelatinized under high pressure but extruded at low temperature. This prevents expansion, creating a dense, glass-like grain structure.

Low-Temp Drying Oven

Rice grains are prone to “checking” (cracking) if dried too fast. Our multi-layer dryer uses a Low-Temperature, Long-Time drying curve to gently remove moisture from the center out, ensuring the grains remain intact during cooking.

Rice Polishing Machine

The final step to making artificial rice look natural. The polisher removes surface starch and burrs, giving the FRK grains a smooth, shiny, and translucent appearance that blends perfectly with natural white rice.

Why Choose Loyal?

Making artificial rice is not just about shape. It’s about texture, cooking integrity, and appearance. We solved the technical challenges so you don’t have to.

No Cracking

Cracked rice is rejected by the market. Our Low-Temp Long-Time Drying technology removes moisture gently from the core out, ensuring the grains stay whole and intact.

No Mushy Rice

Poor quality FRK dissolves in boiling water. We provide Mature Formulas and precise extrusion parameters to create rice that remains chewy and distinct after cooking.

Crystal Appearance

Consumers buy with their eyes. Our specialized High-Speed Polishing Machine removes surface roughness, giving your artificial rice the same gloss and transparency as premium natural rice.

Shape Customization

Basmati? Japonica? Thai Jasmine? We customize the Extruder Die Molds based on your local rice samples to ensure the artificial grains blend perfectly with your target variety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Expert answers on texture, nutrient retention, and production costs.

Does the artificial rice taste like real rice?

Yes. By using our specific extrusion parameters (high pressure, low shear) and correct moisture control, the starch structure is reconstituted to mimic natural rice. The cooked rice is chewy, distinct, and has a natural rice aroma. It does not taste like “puffed snacks.”

Will the high temperature destroy the vitamins?

No. The residence time inside the high-temperature zone of the extruder is very short (only a few seconds). Additionally, the nutrients are mixed inside the flour matrix (embedded), which protects them from heat and washing water. Retention rates are typically over 90%.

How much FRK should be mixed with natural rice?

For government fortification projects (like in India), the standard ratio is usually 1:100 (1kg FRK mixed with 100kg natural rice). For commercial functional rice (like Konjac or Purple Potato rice), it is sold as 100% pure product.

Is the drying process expensive?

Drying is the biggest energy consumer in this line. To reduce costs, we recommend using Gas or Diesel Burners instead of electricity if your local electricity rate is high. Our dryers are equipped with a hot air recycling system to save up to 30% energy.

Can I use 100% broken rice as raw material?

Yes, broken rice is the best raw material. You can also mix it with corn flour, millet, buckwheat, or konjac flour depending on the product type you want to create (e.g., golden rice or low-GI rice).
